Job Descriptions:
Instrument Technician (59 Vacancies):
- Minimum Qualifications:
- Secondary School diploma + 2 years technical training in Instrumentation/Electronics (ITI) or a 3-year Diploma in Instrumentation/Electronics Engineering
- 5+ years experience in:
- Installation & commissioning
- Troubleshooting
- Maintenance & calibration of instruments
- Preferably Fire & Gas detection instruments
- Skills:
- Ability to check, calibrate, and repair Fire & Gas instruments, electronic instruments, controls, and protective interlocks.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with control systems (pneumatic, electronic, Fire & Gas, DCS/PLC).
- Perform preventive maintenance on instrument control systems and Fire & Gas Detection Systems.
- Conduct instrument repair and test work.
- Participate in control room modification activities for Fire Detection Systems.
Electronic Technician (5 Vacancies):
- Minimum Qualifications:
- Secondary School diploma + 2 years technical training in Instrumentation/Electronics or a 3-year Diploma in Instrumentation/Electronics Engineering
- 5+ years experience in the Oil & Gas industry troubleshooting and repairing electronic components of instruments and control systems.
- Skills:
- Repair and troubleshoot electronic devices and components.
- Experience with installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and calibration of Fire & Gas detection instruments.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on electronic instruments, including microprocessor-based systems.
- Diagnose and rectify problems with electronic equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance on various test equipment and control instruments.
- Order instrument supplies, tools, and test equipment.
- Coordinate instrument repair and test work in the workshop.
Instrument Fitter (63 Vacancies):
- Minimum Qualifications:
- Intermediate certificate or 2 years of technical training (ITI)
- 5+ years experience in instrument maintenance/construction activities in Oil & Gas/Refinery/Petrochemicals
- Skills:
- Perform skilled instrument fitting duties for installation, removal, repair, and maintenance of instruments and equipment in workshops or on-site.
- Proficient in using hand tools for bench fitting and tube bending.
- Experience using test equipment (LEL/H2S gas calibration kits, UV/IR torches).
- Ensure safe working conditions.
- Assist with general housekeeping.
- Conduct on-site checks, including venting drains on instruments.
